Onboarding - Welcome Team - Week 3-4: Appointments and Epic Support
During your third and fourth weeks, you will complete these topics:


  • Continue EPIC overview through scheduled elbow support with site specialists and through EPIC support through designated practice time. Complete patient chart with practice scenarios and focus on common patient questions.
  • Review procedures for accessing and scheduling interpretation services.
  • Review the Fundamentals of Sliding Scale Discount2 learning unit with Welcome Team and Billing Department management (see training calendar).
  • Review the Insurance Basics for the Welcome Team learning unit with Welcome Team and Billing Department management (see training calendar). 
  • Review the Fundamentals of the Registration Workqueues learning unit with Welcome Team and Billing Department management (see training calendar).
  • Review the Scheduling New Patients and Creating New Patient Charts learning unit with Welcome Team and Call Center management (see training calendar).
  • Review Patient Registration and Insurance Verification Journey Map.
  • Review scenarios for scheduling Behavioral Health visits with Welcome Team Manager or assigned staff.
  • Review scenario for scheduling Lab visits with Welcome Team Manager or assigned staff.
  • Review scenario for scheduling Medical visits with Welcome Team Manager or assigned staff.
  • Review scenario for scheduling Dental visits with Welcome Team Manager or assigned staff.
  • Review scheduling scenarios for Medical Assistants and Nurses with Welcome Team Manager or assigned staff.
  • Review scenarios for Case Management scheduling with Welcome Team Manager or assigned staff.
