Onboarding - BHA I - Practice Scenarios
Onboarding tasks to complete during down time, when not shadowing:
  1. Review appointment types for BHC visits. 

  2. Review Therapy in the Gorge website - make calls to all private therapists and see if they are taking new patients/seeing patients in person. Make a spreadsheet to share with the BHCs.

  3. Socialize and build relationships with providers, medical assistants, team assistants, RNs, etc. 

  4. Observe how warm handoffs are coordinated successfully & what works/what doesn't on all Epic virtual chats. 

  5. Review daily checklist. 

  6. Look through the Behavioral Health files on Teams and familiarize yourself with them. 

  7. Practice chart scrubbing for BHCs and PCPs.
