This assigned training is meant to accompany a new OCH policy allowing medical staff (in Oregon) to distribute naloxone (Narcan) to individuals that ask for the medication. To distribute the medication, it is required that staff understand the indication for use and how to administer naloxone so we can train those that are requesting the medication. Please read the policy (linked within the lesson and available on SharePoint/Compliatric) to understand the procedure for distributing naloxone. Naloxone will be kept in the dispensaries in The Dalles and Hood River. Contact your supervisor with any questions.
